LinkedInu is an independent profile photo generator. Use a local photo or enter an X profile URL or handle. No X sign-in is required.

Local photos: Uploaded images are processed on your device. They are not uploaded to our server. Your finished photo is generated in your browser and saved when you click Download.

X profile lookup: Our server sends the handle you enter to Unavatar to retrieve the public profile photo. If Unavatar cannot return a photo, we try X’s API when our backup access is configured. Extra query parameters in a pasted link are discarded. Providers receive the handle and our server’s request, rather than a direct request from your browser. The photo is passed to your browser for editing. We do not read posts, request access to your account, or change your profile.

Cookies: We do not set sign-in, advertising, or analytics cookies. Cookies from the previous sign-in version are ignored and expire automatically.

Retention: We cache retrieved profile photos and handles in server memory for reuse for 24 hours, with a maximum of 100 photos and 32 MB. Expired entries are discarded on the next lookup; restarting the app clears the cache. Photos are not saved to disk or a database. Request timestamps are kept in memory to limit API usage. Hosting providers may process standard request logs such as IP addresses. Unavatar and X process requests under their own privacy policies.

Previously connected accounts: If you used an earlier version with X sign-in, you can revoke its permission in X under Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions → Connected apps.
